This gorgeous is made using the Welcome Windows Bundle. I really loved this set when I first saw it and thought it would make a wonderful card for my mum. I have ended up making 3 cards from the set. Inside I added another flower pot.
I was inspired by the picture below that I picked up from Greece while I was over there in 1999. I love the white and the bright blue and splash of red.
Below are some more cards I have made.
I used one of the Donkeys from the Darling Donkeys stamp set (unfortunately it was a freebie set during Sale - a - bration and that has now finished).
Here is the video showing you how I put the card together plus I used the new blending brushes to achieve the blue. I hope you enjoy the video. If you have any queries please leave me a comment.

Today I am
showing off the Lovely Is The Day stamp set and Lovely Leaves dies. I decided to try a new fancy fold and it is
what I am calling the Inside Z Card.
This is a great design if you have a group friends/family who needs to
sign the one card. I love doing the
birthday cards for my group and friends but one of the challenges is to make it
so everyone can write something on the card…. This is going to be my go to design
for those cards.
I started
with stamping the flowers and colouring them in. I used the leaves stamp to colour in the
leaves with Pear Pizzazz and Aqua brushed the flowers using Poppy Parade ink
pad. Then I cut the stamped image. The
die doesn’t cut the image completely out but I love how the flowers and leaves
pop out. I used the largest oval
stitched die to completely cut out the image.
Next the
card. The base card is 210mm x 148mm and
scored at 105mm. I chose the Terracotta
Tiles as my base card as it went well with the colour of the flowers. I used the scalloped edge large oval and used
it to cut in the centre of the card front. I glued the flower stitched oval to the scalloped oval I cut from the card. Note; just add
glue to the edge of the stitched oval so the flowers and leaves can still be raised up. For the card front I used a new embossing folder Ornate Floral that is coming out in the new 2020 – 2021 Annual Catalogue.
For the inside I
used Whisper White and cut that at 200mm and scored it at 99mm and 150mm. I stamped the single flower in the Lovely Is
The Day stamp set on the left corner and used the leaves stamp in the same set
to colour the leaves with Pear Pizzazz. For
the flower I used the Poppy Parade light and dark blend pens…. But if you don’t
have those you can always use the Aqua brush and Poppy Parade ink pad. On the whisper white I stamped the greeting Here's to a wonderful from the stamp set Verdant Garden in Poppy
Parade, I popped tape over the “couple….” word, inked up the stamp and took off the
tape before stamping (I can’t tell you how many times I have left the tape on
and then stamped lol). Leaving couple out meant I could hand write anything, for example To a wonderful 'partner' or 'friend'.
The final
touches I have added are the tag with hello from the Darling Label Punch Box , the faceted terracotta tile dots under the hello and the terracotta tile ribbon. Below is a short video of the card.
