Peace & Joy Christmas Cards

For my first Christmas Card I wanted to show was the was the Peace on Earth card.  Below are the steps to create this card.

  1. Cut the backing card, Cherry Cobbler 105mm x 297mm and score on the long side at 148mm (this will be half way) and 74mm.
  2. Cut another Cherry Cobbler 70mm x 297mm and score at 148mm and 74mm.  Cut 20mm off the 148mm end.
  3. Cut two designer series paper ('Tis The Season), one at 99mm x 68mm and another at 99mm x 142mm.
  4. Attach the designer series paper to the backing card.  I used the liquid glue.
  5. Emboss the 70mm Cherry Cobbler, just on the longer piece, which will be the front piece using the Old World Paper Embossing Folder.  place the embossing folder close to the score line.
  6. Cut the red foil 75mm x 135mm and place on a adhesive sheet.
  7. Using the two world dies from the Beautiful World Bundle cut out three of each of the dies (six in total.
  8. Place the worlds on the embossed card.  I started at the left hand side top.  The bottom left and right world are cut in half.  trip up any over hanging pieces.
  9. Use the Peace dies (three dies in total).  The larger I have used on Cherry Cobbler card, the middle die I have used Whisper White (not Whisper White is discontinued but there will be replacement) and the top one red foil.  Assemble together.  I used dimensionals to attach the bottom and middle dies and liquid glue for the top one.
  10. Stamp On Earth on Whisper White using Cherry Cobbler ink and hand cut out. Use dimensionals to attach On Earth.
  11. Fold the cards in a Z shape.  The backing card has the shorter end at the front and the top card has the larger end at the front.  Attach both cards together using liquid glue.

Here is a look at the Z design from the side.

For the second card I have have stamped the background.  Below is how I created the card.

  1. Cut the backing card, Night of Navy, 105mm x 297mm and score on the long side at 148mm (this will be half way) and 74mm
  2. Cut another card, Balmy Blue, 70mm x 297mm and score at 148mm and 74mm.  Cut 20mm off the 148mm end.
  3. Cut two designer series paper (Feels Like Frost), one at 99mm x 68mm and another at 99mm x 142mm.
  4. Attach the designer series paper to the backing card.  I used the liquid glue.
  5. Stamp the leaves and holly using versamark ink and emboss using white embossing powder on the long side of the Balmy Blue card.
  6. Use the Joy dies (three dies in total).  The larger and the top one I have used on Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper and the middle die I have used Whisper White (not Whisper White is discontinued but there will be replacement).  Assemble together.  I used dimensionals to attach the bottom and middle dies and liquid glue for the top one.
  7. Stamp Sending, And, Merry and Christmas on Whisper White using Balmy Blue ink and hand cut out. Use dimensionals to attach them to the card.
  8. For the "A" I used the the A from And.  I placed a post-it note over the ND and inked up the stamp.  Remember to remove the post-it not before stamping.  Hand cut the A out and place a dimensional on the back and onto the card.
  9. Fold the cards in a Z shape.  The backing card has the shorter end at the front and the top card has the larger end at the front.  Attach both cards together using liquid glue.

I hope you have fun creating these cards.  I hope to have inspired you.  If you do have any queries please feel free to contact me.

Happy card making.
