🌊 Balmy Blue — Art With Heart Colour Creations Week 7

A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order, and Week 7 is all about Balmy Blue πŸ’™

This week’s project is my weekly journal page, and my starting point—besides beautiful Balmy Blue—was the Scenic Coast SDSP. The papers in this pack are absolutely gorgeous and instantly became my focal point.

✂️ Measurements
  • Balmy Blue cardstock: 190mm x 132mm

  • Scenic Coast SDSP: 184mm x 126mm

  • Waterside Retreat DSP: 126mm x 50mm

  • Scraps: Balmy Blue + Basic White for sentiments and details

πŸͺ΅ Building the Page

I layered the Scenic Coast SDSP onto the Balmy Blue card base, then created a hidden journaling spot using the Waterside Retreat DSP. The wood‑grain pattern gave me the perfect place to add the Relaxing Waterside chair and seagull — giving the page a cosy, peaceful feel very similar to last week’s book‑and‑chai‑latte moment.

I stamped all sentiments in Balmy Blue and cut them using a mix of dies from Extraordinary Life and the Banner Punch. I stamped Have A Great Day directly onto the SDSP, but wasn’t happy with how “Day” stamped — so I re‑stamped it on Balmy Blue cardstock and popped it up on a dimensional to cover it. Much better!

The seagulls in the sky and beside the chair are stamped in Smoky Slate, while the one on the SDSP is stamped in black. The little pebbles near the chair legs are from April’s Paper Pumpkin kit. I coloured the seagull’s beak with Light Pumpkin Pie Blends, and added a touch of Balmy Blue blending to the chair.

πŸ““ Journal Booklet

My journaling cards are punched using the Rounded Rectangle Punch. I scored each at 5mm and adhered them to another punched piece to create a tiny booklet — perfect for tucking away my written memories for the week.

I hope this project inspires you 🧑 Happy Stamping Hx
